The Overseas Engineering Department of CZICC, assembled by talented experts, senior eng-ineers, CPA and senior budgeters, is specialized in project consultancy, design and construction. Twelve sub-branches engage respectively construction; transportation; harbor; road & bridge; power plant; water conservancy; classical garden; decoration and waterproof and so on. They have ensur-ed all projects to be completed with high quality hence to be enjoyed with great prestige both at home and abroad. The department mainly engages in the busineses of designing and constructing Chinese classical gardens, civil engineering works and decoration. In the past tens of years, the department has executed many projects both at home and abroad, which are praised by the clients for its good quality. Some of the projects are as follows:
In 1993, CZICC entered European construction market and solely contracted the “Turnkey Project” as a general contractor i.e. the finishing work of Albony Hotel in London, Britain, which led the breakthrough of nil main project constructing in Western Europe by the construction company from China.
In 1999, CZICC signed the project of installation of generating unit (800,000 kW) in Sakara Island Power Plant in Singapore, which was completed in 2000. The project was praised by the client due to its high quality and therefore the client sent his representative to make a special trip to CZICC’s head office to commend both high quality and advanced construction management of the project. CZICC dispatched over 150 workers and managers to execute the project.
In 1999, CZICC constructed the Louisen Park China Garden in Mannheim, Germany. The China Garden and its Teahouse with the style of private gardens were opened to the public in Sept. 2001, which is located at southern Jiangsu Province in Ming and Qing Dynasties in China. It is now the biggest and the most complete building group of Chinese classical gardens in Europe, which shows the perfect combination between Chinese classical gardens constructing and German modern construction.
In 2001, CZICC constructed a theater after the style of Confucian Temple in Chinatown of Phantasialland in Bruehl, Germany and completed the project in March 2002. It only took CZICC less than 8 months to finish the project, which showed rapid construction speed and our efficient construction management.
In Nov. 2003, CZICC completed the project of constructing a four-star Chinese style “Thermen Hotel” in Bruehl, Germany, which is now the biggest construction single unit of Chinese style in Europe. It is also the first attempt to construct the Four-Star Hotel by Chinese construction company in Europe.
In 2004, CZICC was engaged in the preliminary design of Chinese Cultural & Leisure Holiday Village in Leoben, Austria, which covers an area of 7 ha. and a building area of 40,000 M2. The village is now the largest engineering project constructed by Chinese foreign economic enterprise in Europe.
